Bedford 360's Contractor Program and How it Helps You

Two digital marketing services that help build trust and credibility to your contracting business

Three smiling construction contractors

Google My Business

Even if you're unfamiliar with Google My Business, you've probably seen it before in the search results. For example, if you search for something like "Plumbers in Toledo", you'll see a bunch of businesses pop up. The listing will include their website, phone number, and location. That's Google My Business at work.

These days, everyone uses the internet to find services, much like the phone book did in the old days. If you're not listed using Google My Business, you're relying on pure luck for people to find you. Which, as a service, isn't the best idea, since all of your competitors likely are.

This is even more true if you consider that Google uses your location to recommend to those in your nearby vicinity. For instance, if I google "Plumbers in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin", all plumber businesses that use Google My Business will pop up in the search results, since they're located in that city. It's a simple, yet amazing way to help people find you. And at this point, it's kind of mandatory that a service business uses it. Otherwise their competition will get all the business.

Which leads to the second service that benefits contractors:

Google Guarantee

Google Guarantee is a verification process that rewards businesses by adding a check mark to your Google My Business Listing. Since this is a verification process, you actually have to apply for it and prove your business is trustworthy.

The main point of Google Guarantee is that if a customer has a bad experience with a business, Google will actually decide whether to reimburse the customer through their own validation process. Now, if Google is willing to do that, it means they trust your business enough to know that a bad experience isn't normal with your business. That's why the check mark is there.

This is massively beneficial for those looking to prove they're trustworthy to customers. So if that's you, you need Google Guarantee on your Google My Business listing.

To Summarize...

Having a digital presence as a contracting business means you need to have a Google My Business listing. Without it, customers will have a hard time finding you, and you'll be totally reliant on luck and word of mouth.

As for Google Guarantee, you're not only completing a verification process with Google, you're also proving to customers that Google trusts your business, and is even willing to reimburse unsatisfied customers. (If Google determines the customer is eligible for reimbursement.)

Those two services are the best ways to expand online if you're a contractor. But if you're not sure how to do either of those, or would prefer a professional digital marketing agency to handle it for you, then we have a page dedicated to contractors. Feel free to reach out to Bedford 360 if you have any questions or need help!

How Quitting Caffeine Has Benefitted My Daily Life

It's been two months and I've learned that quitting helps you win sometimes      Caffeine is a major part of most people's daily routine. For some, it's a ritual before starting certain activities. In fact, I've met people who can barely function until those first few coffee drops make contact with their tongue.      Now, I'm not a scientist, nor do I have a clue which receptors are affected by caffeine and why, but I can tell you the differences it's made for me personally. And of course, a lot of these changes are similar to other addictions. So, if you've ever considered dropping caffeine, here are some things you might notice happening to yourself.      (Before I begin, I need to mention that I consumed less and less until I reached zero. This wasn't a cold-turkey situation. So when I write about having a more focused mind and better sleep, take note that if you do quit cold-turkey, you'll likely have adverse side effects such as irritati...
